Compton Food Distribution

The COVID-19 pandemic hit certain communities harder than others, leaving many individuals and groups particularly vulnerable to not only the virus, but also its economic effects.

Last week we teamed up with Yasiel Puig’s Wild Horse Children’s Foundation and and the mayor of Compton to give away tons of food, hand sanitizer, and masks to members of the community who otherwise wouldn’t have ready access to these necessities.

We gathered (safely, of course) at Gonzales Park in downtown Compton and, thanks to the many organizations and sponsors listed on the flier below, helped many people with their hunger and health! Thank you to all who were a part of this event.

This food distribution was part of our “Give Away Park” initiative—a series of service activities at which we give to those in need, sometimes in a real park and sometimes not. Please contact us if you have goods or services you’d like to donate to our next event or know of an event we can help at.
